喜歡 Drum and Bass 的朋友一定不會陌生吧。
第四次來港了：white label night, rock-it, 還有兩年前的一個情人節。

還記得"Do you remember me?" 的MV裡, 一頭dreadlock的SUV身穿黑色西裝，好看得像個模特兒。
好看又名氣大的男子,會是個怎樣的人？
直到在rock-it和after party跟他直接對話才知道，他親近得像任何一個人,一點都不臭。
他的dreadlock上有一束紅髮，他說是她的頭髮。當時想：男友如此，也可愛了。

他的音樂（史）

DJ SUV is one of the iconic and most diverse figures in Drum N Bass. He joined forces with Krust, DJ Die, and Roni Size on the Bristol based Full Cycle record label in 1993. The four of them also make up Reprazent, which released the award winning New Forms LP in 1997. Reprazent has continued to push the boundaries of Drum N Bass by performing live organic Drum N Bass, in which SUV plays percussion.

Independently, SUV is known for his production work within different time signatures, and diverse ethnic samples drawing influence from Latin, Asian, Moroccan, Spanish, and Portuguese music.

Suv has produced over 130 tracks and remixes on such labels as Brian G’s V Recordings, Movement, and Gilles Peterson’s Talkin’ Loud. He has also collaborated with the likes of Brazil's DJ Patife, and New Zealand's MC Tali.

Suv will represent his new project and label Playside on April 13th in Hong Kong. Don't miss this talented musician, producer, and DJ.

作為Full Cycle的主要成員, 被稱為"The Lee Perry Of Drum'n'Bass"的SUV毫無疑問是Drum n Bass發展以及Bristol音樂的重要人物之一.

1993 年，SUV與Drum N Bass界知名人物 Krust, DJ Die 以及 Roni Size 於 Bristol 創立自家廠牌Full Cycle 。他們隨後更組成 Reprazent, 並於1997憑其 New Form LP橫掃多個音樂獎項, 影響力遍佈全球. Reprazent以現場樂器演奏 Drum N Bass的音樂方式拉闊了Drum N Bass 的界限。而其中SUV則喜用不同的敲擊樂器來豐富演出的內容.

身為Full Cycle的freebeat大使, SUV利用高超的技術延長小節的結構, 再混合拉丁，,亞洲，摩洛哥，西班牙, 葡萄牙等各富有民族色彩的音樂加上新鮮的節奏，形成他強烈而獨特的個人風格。他更與Brian G 的 V Recordings, Movement, 及 Gilles Peterson的Talkin' Loud 等廠牌發表超過130首樂曲以及remixes.此外,他亦與其他著名drum and bass 藝人如巴西的DJ Patife, 紐西蘭的 MC Tali, Dj Krust, Surge, MC Darrison, MC Verse 等人聯合創作.而他2001年發行的個人大碟"Desert Rose"更得到Grooverider, Fabio 以至Gilles Peterson , John Peel等不同風格的DJ推崇,證明好音樂總會得到認同.

Recent Reading : Lolita

正在看的是中譯本，一下子就看了一半：看書也講緣份。

Lo-li-ta. 如他所說，舌尖得由上顎向下移動三次，到第三次再輕輕貼在牙齒上：Lo-li-ta。

第一次接觸到Lolita，是從Stanley Kubrick的電影封套上：一個戴著紅框心形太陽鏡的少女。赤紅的嘴唇中正含著一塊同色的波板糖﹣天真的誘惑。 中年爸爸瘋狂愛上十二歲的女兒，天地不容。但看完這本書，這份供詞，你和我也只好原諒。

想像著Lolita, 想像著Humbert Humbert,想像著.... 不去想像，你和我，甚至一切都不存在了。
所以我喜歡看書，想像的強迫者，被動與主動間的快樂。
