Spanish-born designer Jaime Hayon is currently in the ascendant in the design world, with clients ranging from adidas, ArtQuitect and Camper to Coca Cola and Piper-Heidsieck.
Jaime Hayon's adolescence in post-Franco Spain is directly responsible for his career choice. At 16, he decided to leave Spain and travel. He ended up in California, working for a skateboard company.This focus on fine art further emphasises Hayon's relaxed approach to different disciplines. Currently, leading art galleries in Shanghai and London are calling for commissions as frequently as the many design companies with whom he is collaborating.
