關於Pendulum & MC Verse
Drum and Bass 頂級勁旅Pendulum 乃由澳洲音樂人Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen 和 Paul Harding 於2002 年組成。三人在組成前均於Live 音樂界活躍多年。Gareth McGrillen 和Rob Swire 來自Metal Punk 樂隊 'Xygen' ，他們以滾動的節拍和飛速猛烈的主音風格而聞名音樂界，而Paul Harding 則以DJ 身份在澳洲各夜店,Rave Party 及各音樂節演出超過七年。Pendulum 之音樂植根於三人的 breakbeat, trance 和 hardcore樂風，所形成的獨特風格成為一股無可抵擋的瘋狂力量，出道短短十二個月就攻陷 Drum and Bass界，橫掃最佳單曲，最佳製作人等不同之音樂獎項。
Pendulum 2005 年推出的處女大碟'Hold Your Colour' 單於英國己大賣超過十萬張，是Drum and Bass 史上最佳銷量大碟之一。其中為The Prodigy 所Remix 的 "Voodoo People" 更攻佔BBC Radio 1 ，長期佔據其播放榜之位置。其後Pendulum 遊走世界各地作巡迴演出，足跡遍佈澳洲，英國，南美，歐洲，亞洲及中東等國。於DJ 界大捷後，Pendulum 回歸其根，將其舞曲以Live Band 形式演出，此突破將其音樂事業再推至另一頂峰，成為Drum and Bass 界最炙手可熱之人物！
而來自英國列斯的MC Verse 於1996 年開始在DOPE (Development Of Progressive Energy) 作常駐演出。演出期間結識了Trouble On Vinyl 廠牌創立人之一的Clayton ，此後Verse 與不同A list DJ 合作，在倫敦，歐洲，日本，美加等地演出。Verse 的音樂喜好廣泛，揉合了hip-hop acid jazz, funk 以至dub 等不同的風格。2003 年Verse 為Full Cycle DJ SUV 的Live 演出中擔當MC ，其作品發表於Renegade Hardware , Refuge Audio, Outbreak , Sanctuary and Architecture 和2004 年創立之自家廠牌Crunch Recordings 當中。Verse 除了於倫敦的The End for Renegade Hardware & Ram 常駐演出外，他亦常於Fabric, Bar Rumba, Colosseum and the Mass 等名店作說唱演出。
萬眾期待的Pendulum 己應邀於本年度3 月2日連同 MC Verse 到香港作首次演出，該晚將會是香港Drum and Bass 音樂界之盛典，各樂迷誓不能錯過強勁音樂之狂歡派對！

Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen and Paul Harding first met in their home-town of Perth (Australia)
in 2002, with their individual formative roots ranging from producing breakbeat, trance and
hardcore to playing in metal and punk bands; their comparable talents proved an unstoppable
force when they managed to conquer the world of drum&bass within their first 12 months,
confirmed by chart topping hits and numerous awards. (Best Single, Best Producers,
Best Breakthrough Act)
PRESENT:
After selling 100,000 units (UK only) of their debut artist album 'Hold Your Colour',
remixing for such respected artists as The Prodigy, being play-listed and featuring regularly on BBC Radio 1, all whilst continually touring the world over as DJs… Whilst continuing to DJ in recent months Pendulum have decided that it's time to take things to the next level, while going back to their roots at the same time, performing live.
MC Verse's career in Drum and Bass started in 1996. Based in Leeds, he secured his first
residency (which ran for five years) at a night called DOPE (Development Of Progressive Energy).
It was at one of these nights that Verse met Clayton from Trouble On Vinyl and since 1998
Verse has been working alongside various DJs across London, Europe and the world.
He performs throughout the UK and extensively throughout Europe, Japan, America and Canada.
Verse holds residencies in London at The End for Renegade Hardware & Ram. He also works
regularly at Fabric, Bar Rumba, Colosseum and the Mass. Working for major labels in
Drum and Bass has given Verse the opportunity to MC alongside A list DJs in the scene.
Verse's musical influences come from the broad spectrums of music today, hip-hop through to
acid jazz, funk and dub. In 2003 Verse worked as the mc for Suv (full cycle) On his live show.
In the studio, Verse has had releases on Renegade Hardware , Refuge Audio, Outbreak , Sanctuary
and Architecture and in 2004 Verse launched Crunch Recordings, his own label.
